First high speed UPD today. cruising at a very comfortable 20km/h in high gear on the flat, I hit an insignifigant rock. As with riding a bigger wheel, it is more difficult to recover from "trips" in high gear. And i'm not quite used to the difference.

Coming off at 20km/h is very scary, especially when not expected. To all of you who end up riding these things, be careful. It is not difficult to ride fast, and it is easier to UPD. I'll be wearing forearm armour for the next few rides whilst I get accustomed to the new beast.

I did manage to run it out, thankfully. I want to do a few (running) sprints with Endomondo tracking me, so I can get an idea of how fast I can actually run. It is a terrible feeling bailing UPDing at the upper limit of what you can run out!
